Clear Water Hose Flushing System

Clear water can be used for flushing the pump system and also for clearing the mulch from the application hose. No mulch left in the application hose eliminates clogging.

TurfMaker Positive Displacement Pump

The TurfMaker Pump answers the challenge of pumping lower volumes of thick slurry materials while maintaining pressures necessary to pump through long hoses and avoid clogging. A TurfMaker Pump also requires less engine horsepower than a centrifugal pump. The TurfMaker Pump has the pumping power, the high-wear features, and the simplicity not found on any other hydro-seeding machine.

Fast and Easy User Friendly Loading

With the powerful mechanical agitation system, loading is quick and easy. This is the key to producing many more tank loads every day.

Self Filling System and Auxiliary Water Tank

Some water districts will not issue permits to contractors for fire hydrant use. Sometimes there are no fire hydrants near a job site. In some areas, contractors are not permitted to use water from public lakes, rivers, or streams. When a suitable water source is not nearby, an auxiliary water tank and filling system prevents loss of time retrieving water from a distant source.

The Most Important Questions for Machine Buyers

Can the Machine:

Load and mix quickly?
Use 100% Wood Mulch?
Pump Premium Mulch Slurries Through at Least 200 feet of hose?

Answer: Yes to all the above for Finn, Bowie, and TurfMaker. All have mechanical agitation and the pumping power necessary to meet these requirements.

Can the machine pump clear water though the hose at any time?

Answer: This is important for two reasons. First it prevents dried mulch from clogging the hose and pump. Secondly, materials in the hose weigh about 100 lbs per 100 feet. When the hose is flushed with clear water, the clear water runs out the end of the hose and the hose becomes much lighter and easier to handle.

Is the machine:

User friendly?
Built with a loading area and low profile design for ease of loading?

Answer: This is important because many 50 lb bags of materials must be lifted to be loaded into the machine. Over a working day, the more lifting that must be done, the more fatiguing the job is.
